The Tarps are Down

As the redevelopment on the Pearson-Dogwood site begins to take shape, we farmers must relocate the market garden by the end of 2018. There are many phases of the redevelopment project, and the first phase builds where the existing market garden is currently located. The future permanent location of the farm will not be established for several years. So – we are building a transition farm! Pea Salad Soup Recipe & Cooking Demo by Brigitte Gemme

We had a wonderful cooking demonstration at the market garden Tuesday. Our very own CSA member, Brigitte Gemme of Smart Vegan Kitchen shared some recipes to help use up the greens in the weekly harvest box. She whipped up some samples under the Norway Maple tree and us lucky farmers & CSA members lapped them up! The all-things-green Pesto used blanched carrot tops, was super smooth and lemony from the purslane, and had chopped walnuts sprinkled atop to preserve the crunch.
